Rust and Bone

Romance/Drama, Belgium/France 2012

Ali is 25 and lives in the north of France. He has no money and never has. At the end of his rope and out of ideas, he calls his sister who lives in Antibes. That's where he took refuge, together with his son. He took one odd job after another: night watchman, bouncer, etc. It's in a nightclub that he meets the beautiful Stéphanie, who has an incredible profession: orca trainer at the Antibes Aquatic Park. When a show turns tragic for Stéphanie, a late-night phone call brings them even closer together. A special, carnal and codified relationship is born between them. And when Ali is offered the chance to take part in clandestine fights to earn money, Stéphanie decides to support him.
